(no subject)

Lightning, thunder and a sound like peas hitting my window. Gusts so strong they get into my room an move the curtains. Hail and +5^oC. Orcan Kirill has just scared my cat.

Weather is really strange this winter. And to think that last winter we had snow from Christmas till Easter nonstop. It was also out of ordinary. Normally winter in Poland is alternating periods of snowing and thawing with severe cold every now and then. Which means it like every other season in Poland ;P One thing you can say about our weather is that’s very variable.

This winter however has not yet been seen. It snowed once. In November. The beginning of November. It even was –10 during the night. Snow lasted for 4 days. Haven’t been seen since. There was couple nights with temperatures below freezing and I even made photos of ice on the first day of Christmas. Besides that the temperatures are over 0, it mostly rains, there’s new grass showing and I picked catkin on New Year’s Eve.

It’s January and it feels like March only days are too short.

The weathermen promise snow on Tuesday, but I hear ‘winter will come next week’ for months now. Meanwhile I watch it on TV as it freezes oranges in California. California colder then Poland :P ;) ROTFL. Stop stealing our winter.

Even the biggest winter haters are complaining that the bugs will eat as alive this year. Everyone’s scared what will happen if winter really comes and freezes crops that already started growing. El Nino strikes again.
