Blooming

The spring is in full bloom. The weather’s been so nice lately, mostly sunny and warm. Almost everyday some more trees start to bloom. Many are early this year due to very warm weather.

After all it’s Kwiecień – that’s how we call Aprill and it means Blooming. Names of months in Polish, unlike in Western Europe languages, have very little to do with latin. Our names are connected with some important characteristic of the month e.g. September is Wrzesień because that’s when wrzosy – heather bloom.
