Pick and choose

2011 Fandom Steel Cage Match Champion is Troy Barnes. So Abed's sacrifice wasn't wasted. It was also nice to learn fandom did let go of Ten and embraced Eleven. But I'm sad Veronica Mars was the only female in final four. I wonder if the next year hate towards last years winner will be main factor too.

Suvudu's Cage Match first round is still going and now all the 16 matches of round 1 are still open for voting. I know it is a popularity contest but part of me feels that there is no way Takeshi Kovacs would loose to Jon Snow. However, I'm glad that Quick Ben is winning his because there is now way he would loose that one no matter what the write up says. I'm also betting on Vin to win because Sanderson is highly popular now and this might be the only chance any female character will ever get in these.

The winners of 2011 Spectrum awards for excellence in science fiction and fantasy art were chosen on Saturday (However they managed to make a mistake in Tomasz Jędruszek name.) The art sure is pretty and the process of choosing the winners was long and strenuous and you can see the various stages of the process.  I wouldn't probably be able to decide.



Meanwhile, I'm already on summer time so for the next two weeks I'm 1 hour closer to home.
