It's this time of the year
May. 14th, 2011 02:55 pmChuck has been officially picked up for a fifth season. It's just 13 episodes but at least it's coming back. Last year in TV was full of bad sci-fi shows and Chuck was one of few things I still enjoyed watching enough to care if it continues.
I's possible that H.G. Welles will get her own Warehouse 13 spin-off. This one is suppose to be back in 19th century and follow her adventures before bronzing. This might be the steampunk series we all've been waiting for.
Neither Wonder Woman nor 17th Precinct got picked up. I'm actually glad for the first as it seemed cringeworthy even from description and then photos made it worse. I though the concept for the second one was interesting and it had (almost) all the BSG cast so I wanted to see it. I wonder if the pilot was really bad. NBC picked up Grimm instead and ABC is going to have Once Upon a Time next season so it's gong to be very supernatural year anyway.
NBC also picked up Awake (formerly known as REM). Everyone describes it as Inception-like which means it will probably fail horribly at logic and then blame it on it all being just a dream. Too bad as it has a
It's official - both V and The Event got cancelled. I kind of watched both and both had serious problems with logic and coherency and ratings so it's not really surprising.I'm actually more sad for the No Ordinary Family as it was kind of cute and made more sense then the other two put together (and it still wasn't very good at it but it was a bad year in sci-fi).
So after all that talk about far future just have a glimpse of sci-fi that is much closer. The promo videos for Falling Skies coming next month.
