Reverse polarity

I have to admit that I wasn't convinced at the beginning. The first season wasn't all that interesting to me. Mostly because it was very low on the sf and had too much pseudoscience. The pseudoscience never went away but the sf content went up and with the second universe plots becoming more and more prominent I got hooked. In the end it was in the full blown sf mode with dystopian future and plots.
Olivia got her powers back!
I always loved the other universe and the other team so I was happy we got one last glimpse of their lives. That their universe healed (and caught a break this time with no Observer invasion). That Lincoln and Altlivia were together (and had a son - instead of erased Henry - it also means they found a way around that virus, right?). Even Walternate got a happy ending.
I loved Olivia walking between universes to avoid detection. How she was able to outphase Observers but most of all that she got all her powers back and new how to use it so she was also able to fry the electricity. And then in the end she black out the Manhattan to get Windmark. I loved that after all that Peter obsessive hate and turning himself into Observer just to kill him it was Olivia who got the revenge. She moved a car!
I mentioned before I was sure they were going to reset time.I was sure since they first shown that future last season so that wasn't a surprise. But when they mentioned their plan to take Michael to 2167 I kind of assumed September would go with him. When Peter found the cassette I knew it won't happen. When September said he was going to go I knew he won't make it. The symbolism of Walter saving the world instead of destroying it by leading a boy through the vortex were too good too pass on.
Still the tape part was ridiculous - after all after reset Peter couldn't remember it as for him it never happened. The letter wasn't much better even if I appreciate the symbolism once again. It was all about the feels.
I do admit, however, that I felt sad when Peter and Walter lost each other again right after Walter remembered their life together. But even sadder when Astrid showed Walter Gene and then he called her by her name. This was goodbye.
Astrid save the day! With science and rational thinking. She proposed to use the window. She proposed to use the delivery line. She decoded the book. One thing I regret that the awesomeness of Astrid was never truly celebrated. Bishops just overshadowed her with their drama but not brilliance.
I also realised that September and December (and all the other dead Observers but I only cared about these two really) die twice - once on screen, the other because they never existed. At least they explain why Michael didn't blip out of existence and why Walter didn't just returned to 21st century when invasion never happened. At least Nina is back. I wouldn't quite forgiven them for killing her but rescuing Broyles (not that I dislike Broyles but Nina was so often implied to be evil). I'm glad they didn't come for him, however. A little rational behaviour always helps.
And then the life got to be normal. Daughter, park, no superpowers and happy future. And only Walter is gone. But at least they remember him. So they too got a happy ending. And saved the future.
I'm glad they got this last season to finish the story. It didn't always make sense but it was emotionally satisfying in many ways. And since it was all about emotions this is what really matters in the end.
