Watering plants

The past week was driest since the ancient times of early spring. Ever since then we could count on the handy storms to do the watering. For couple of months the garden hose laid on the ground unused. When I finally decided that a week of sunny, dry weather calls for some watering of my own I had to liberate the hose from under the plants that grew over it. Then we had the first perfect weekend. Sunny, no rain, low humidity. Saturday was warm. Sunday was hot. Then came the night and a storm.
First the humidity grew. Then came the lightnings. No wind. No rain. Just regular flashes on the sky. I took pictures and almost every photo came with this:

Then the lightnings stopped. Like the storm was canceled. It came back, however, waking us up at half past 4 a.m. with hail and rain so strong it obscured whole world. Just the closest trees were visible. This time it came with the whole package wind, rain and lightnings.
Plants have been watered. The whole day humidity's been killing me. This is the weather this summer.
