Shopping spree

Friends took me shopping today and I finally have a vacuum cleaner and an iron (among other stuff). It's a bit wier because I've never used upright vacuum cleaner. Upright are most popular here. The vacuum cleaner shelf in store is exactly the opposite then back home. There most of vacuum cleaners are carnister ones with just few upright. Here just opposite. It's probably because it's much easier to use head and a hose in cramped Polish apartments then more powerful but unwieldy upright ones. And it takes more strength to use upright as it's pretty heavy. Anyway now I have almost everything I need. I'm just missing microwave but I'm to get it for free from people who move back to Canada and don't want to take it with themselves.

So I spent most of the day shopping and came back just in time to see Canada winning gold in men's ice hockey. With Finland getting bronze yesterday the men's podium looks exactly as women's. This also means Canadians got 14 gold medals - most ever in Winter Olympics. Congratulations. Now I'm watching the closing ceremony - the second best part of the Olympics after the opening.
