Thank you for all the pictures

Frank Frazetta died due to a stroke of a stroke at the age of 82 this week. His paintings have been the covers of fantasy for as long as I can remember. The swords, the mostly naked humans and, what I always liked best, the beasts. For long time I I imagined fantasy in Frank Frazetta. Still, whenever I think of Conan those are pictures that come to my mind. And this was always my favourite one:


I've kept seeing tributes to him but I was too distracted, tired and overheated to write this down before. But this means other people did much better tribute posts in the meantime. io9 has a post with his art and another one with the other artists tribute pictures.
His art and influence will stay with us.
