Spain deserved this. I was already happy when it turned out that a team that never before won would win the World Cup this time. Before the game I preferred Holland but the longer I watched the more I wanted the Spaniards to win. Dutch seemed to be more concentrated on kicking the opposite team players then the ball.
The funniest part when the announcers got all excited about history making:
The first time Spain won.
The first time an European team won outside Europe.
The first time the team that lost its first match in World Cup won.
This World Cup had many memorable things : vuvuzelas, the France disaster, failure of many other favourites and the beautiful games of Germany. And of course the only reliable psychic ever - octopus Paul. That was fun month. Next one - Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. At least we don't have to qualify for that.
