Last two days on TV
Jan. 18th, 2011 10:16 pmSyfy's Being Human wasn't bad. It was like watching a story told by a different person, who remembers it a little differently and concentrates on different details but still all the main events stay the same. The problem for me lies in that last part. I already know that story and I'd rather see what's next then watch a different version. In other words I would probably enjoy it much more if I didn't see the original and I wasn't all excited about series 3 coming soon. My other problem is that although, due to all the marketing, I managed to remember the names of the US main cast members but all the rest are still 'Herrick' guy, 'Lauren' girl etc and then I get confused when they are called something else. As Syfy's version has more episodes they have ability to develop some additional storylines like Josh family and for now I'll keep watching to see how this extra subplots will develop.
Chuck episode was kind of underwhelming. I really enjoyed the few episodes before the break. All the ones since Timothy Dalton came along. But this episode was flat. It' wouldn't be funny at all if not for Lester Canadian Indian marriage woes - much better then Chuck's.
I tried to watch The Cape last week but I couldn't make it so this week I didn't even bother. It's just so pulp fiction, old-school comic books. Makes me think of The Phantom and The Shadow. Cute but unwatchable.
No Ordinary Family really was fun today with each of Powell being in different movie. Die Hard was even called out several times. Kids got Breakfast Clubed. Stephanie and Katie movie escapes me probably because it reminds me of way too many 'group of people trapped in a lab with someone/thing trying to kill them' films.
V gets more and more ridiculous with every episode. Missing half of the DNA? Seriously? The whole thing would collapse and not function at all and he'd have been spontaneously aborted just after conception and... Just stop. I don't know why I keep torturing myself. It's all Morena's fault. She's so evil. I miss the good old times when they were out to steal our water.
