Eureka started yesterday and was so much fun I watched it twice. I didn't realize how much I missed the denizens of Eureka. Jack, Allison and Henry. Jo and Fargo.

I was pretty impressed by the effects - from tree shrinkage to the airplanes. And of course Fargo's Terminator moment but that of course was in the trailers. I was a bit disappointed it turned out to be just a story he was trying to sell to Jo. I wasn't surprised she didn't buy it.

The best moments were certainly Jo taking on the whole military base and beating bunch of big guys. I loved how Carter was cheering her on. Reminded me about the times when she did that to him. But now they are friends and he is, with the rest of us, on the other side.

I knew James Callis was to join the cast but I didn't know he was to be from the past (and American, it was so weir to hear him with that accent). I certainly didn't expect al the changes. For some they are for the better and for some for worse.

Just as Jo made up her mind Zane was no longer who she remembered. All their life together erased. He is back to being frequent visitor of the cell in sheriff's office.

On the other hand Henry is married. To a woman whose name he couldn't even remember. And now he 's got a life that he doesn't know anything of.

Allison and Jack seem to get a better life of this. Kevin is no longer autistic. Tess is back.

But from the next week promo it seems like Fargo is the one who wins most on this change.

And the reason for all of this seems to come from the fact of kidnapping James Calli's doctor Grant, one of the towns founders, with them. He was a very important person in Eureka's history, who now mysteriously disappeared. I wonder what other changes it caused.

It all reminds me of the end of season 1. I wonder if they will try to live with the changes or try to fix it.

I also watched the premiere of Haven. It wasn't bad but it wasn't very good either. It certainly wasn't gripping.

None of the heroes was really memorable. The main mystery of the origins of Audrey Parker is not all that interesting either.

I was hoping it'll be more like Eureka just supernatural instead of sciency. With people living there knowing what they are and what they can do. Sort of secret Promise City. Instead we will probably get freak of the week that no one new of before. And then Audrey Parker will turn to be one of them too. For now the most interesting part is her boss being one too and apparently knowing more about her then she does.

I will give it couple more episodes but it doesn't seem like something I'll like. The trailers for this were more interesting then the episode itself. And after a day I don't even remember much of it. Maybe it's because I've seen too many stories about some sinister supernatural conspiracy and small towns (Happy Town, Persons Unknown). Maybe it was a bad idea to pair it with Eureka. After over the top comedy of it Haven seem little bland.
