I've been watching series 2 of Being Human on BBC America. I loved the first series and I waited for the new one even more then for Doctor Who.

The strength of this show always was in it's characters. Despite the premise that's sounds like a joke and the supernatural setting it was always a very realistic show. Of course there are plety of comedic moments but there is plenty of drama. It shows that it was, at first, a show about fighting with human weakness. At first it was show about an addict, a person with anger control issues and and an agoraphobic before it became the vampire, werewolf and a ghost story.

This shows in a way how each of them keeps on struggling with their problems. Even when one You never stop being an addict. You can relapse anytime. Like Carl. Only for vampires relapsing means killing someone. And it also means that when you quit you need to want to be clean. I loved the scene with vampires singing Rehab. I agreed with everything Daisy said. Mitchell created power vacuum and without anyone in the control everyone does whatever they want. He didn't want to get involved but he couldn't just let them go and kill. He cannot stop thinking about the consequences and some of the others don't care.

Killing Herrick was suppose to be a good thing. They got rid of the monster. Only he was the one who cleaned up messes and made sure the killing didn't get out of control. And now Mitchell has to do that or the killing won't stop. Of course he could've just kill other vampires or let them be destroyed but he is still one of them. And cannot just abandon them. But the problem is he can barely deal with his own life. How can he be responsible for others?

I almost disliked George in those few episodes. The way he wallows in self pity when it's Nina who really need support. The way she tries to spare him the guilt and then consoles him when he finally learns. And when she finally snaps and is not able to deal with their life style anymore and leaves to try to pick up her life he makes it's all about himself. His hurt, his broken heart, his guilt. On one hand it is undependable. We are all selfish and now matter how wrong it is our pain hurts us more. On the other I just want to smack him in the head so hard. He rally was a dick and I was so glad when Mitchell brushed him off and told him to get it together on his own.

But of course George is George and I cannot hate him for long. Especially the interaction with Hugh and helping Annie to get him back together with his first love. German art film and kebab. And the honesty. And the sharing moment with Mitchell witch was hilarious. The whole thing with the way you women do feeling is the only way. And then they both proceed to go bonkers over TV schedule changes.

And of course Annie. She got so much better at the end of last series. Her murderer was caught. She got visible. She was able to get out and interact with people. To live the life that was stolen from her. She was so happy. And then death came to claim her back and she lost everything again. Not only the next man she liked tried to harm her again but she once again lost her independence. She can't even go and buy tea. Nina is gone and she is left with only two guys who can see her. And they are so preoccupied with their own problems they ignore her for most part. I think I admire the fact that she can still be so cheery and thinking about helping others and generally being Annie despite all that. I just wish Nina wasn't gone so they could be awesome together. I loved their interactions at the beginning of the series 2.

I love Nina more and more. The way she tried to deal with what happened to her. The way she refused to let go of her old self. I'm so worried about her now. Unfortunately she looks for help in the worst place possible.

I like Lucy despite the fact that I felt she was spying on Mitchell. It was something about the way she pursued all the vampire attacks. The way she talked about it to Mitchell like she was waiting for reaction. Observing a subject. I didn't expect her to be professor Jaggat herself. I will hate her if she hurts Nina.

I also loved how they shown how being a monster isn't just about what you are. Firs with waht happened to the werewolf being cured and then with the vampire hunters of 17th century. It shows how hunting monsters just turns you to one. I think that this is the reason I love watching  Being Human so much. It's the way they show how there is such a thin line between evil and good and it's all up to us to walk on the right side.

And I want to say I ♥ BBC America for showing whole episodes despite the fact that it means it takes an hour and 15 minutes for every one of them.
